BYC Covid-19 Rules

BYC Little League Covid-19 Safety Plan

 

1)    Parents must sign the Covid-19 Entry Log on behalf of themselves and their children at all events at the designated playing field including practices and games.

 

2)    Players must have their own and equipment and are prohibited from sharing any equipment such as helmets, bats, gloves, catcher’s gear, etc.

 

3)    Players, coaches and spectators will carry an appropriate cloth face covering at all times in the event that a 6-foot minimum distance cannot be maintained. Players will refrain from unnecessary contact such as handshakes, high fives, hugs, fist pumps, etc.

 

4)    When not in the field, players will either sit on the ground, stand or sit in a chair in their assigned personal area maintaining a 6-foot distance. Their personal equipment and other belongings will be kept in this area as well. The bench will be reserved for the on-deck batter and the in-the-hole batter. No personal equipment will be stored in the dugout area.

 

5)    Players and coaches will be required to use hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the playing field. Hand sanitizer will be provided by the coach, but players are encouraged to bring their own.

 

6)    Rules will be read to the players at the beginning of each game/practice and players will use hand sanitizer before leaving the field at the end of each event.

 

7)    Clear generic water bottles will not be allowed in any shared area. Players will be required to bring their own personal water bottle that will be clearly marked with their name on it. Players are asked to refrain from bringing any food into the ballpark. Chewing gum and sunflower seeds will not be allowed.

 

8)    Trash will be located outside the dugout away from the field of play towards the park’s exit.

 

9)    We will limit any nonessential visitors, spectators, volunteers. Players may be accompanied by immediate family members only.

Covid-19 Participation Release Waiver

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.

I further acknowledge that the Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

I further acknowledge that Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, staff, and other participants and their families.


I voluntarily seek to be part of all practices, games and events by Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending my appointment.


I attest that:
* I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
* I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days.
* I have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days.
* I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
* I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities.
* I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

I hereby release and agree to hold Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the club, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League. I understand that this release discharges Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the club with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any participation in/from Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League. This liability waiver and release extends to the club together with all board members, coaches and employees.

Entry/Exit Log with COVID-19 Acknowledgement

The Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League’s objective is to provide a safe and healthy recreational atmosphere. In response to COVID-19, Broadalbin Youth Commission Little League is prohibiting access to designated playing fields by those who pose an elevated risk of spreading COVID-19. By completing this site Entry/Exit log, you acknowledge your understanding of this policy and  confirm that your health and travel history is  NOT in one of the prohibited access groups listed below, and to the best of your knowledge, you do not pose an elevated risk of transmitting COVID-19 to others. Please leave the site immediately and follow recommendations from public health agencies and your healthcare provider if you fall into one of the prohibited access groups listed below:

•       You or your child are experiencing flu-like symptoms including but not limited to fever, chills, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, runny/stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue.

•       You or your child have traveled to CDC-restricted destinations in the last 2 weeks including China, South Korea, Iran, United Kingdom & Ireland, all European Union countries,

Switzerland and any other regions within the U.S. for which public health agencies have prohibited travel.

•       You or your child had direct contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected of having COVID-19 during the last 2 weeks.



FIELD ACCESS IS PROHIBITED FOR THE FOLLOWING PERSONS DUE TO COVID-19 RISK

  • You are experiencing flu-like symptoms including but not limited to:
  • Fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, fatigue (tiredness)

  •  You have traveled to CDC restricted destinations during the last 2 weeks including but not limited to:
  • China, South Korea, Iran, United Kingdom & Ireland, all European Union countries, Switzerland and regions within the U.S. for which public health agencies have prohibited travel
  • You had direct contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected of having COVID-19 during the last 2 weeks
